As with many great success
stories, this company actually started by accident.
Robin and Jamie
and have been friends for eleven years, introduced when Robin
was in need of a place to board and rehab a new
thoroughbred just off the racetrack.
Robin grew up riding
mostly western with some english but Jamie introduced her to a
new world of 3-day eventing. Jamie has spent her life riding and
training horses both in western and english disciplines. It is a
wonderful mix of people and horses at Jamie's place between the
hunter/jumpers, barrel racing and roping that is constantly going
on.
About five years
ago Robin noticed a fly mask on one of her horses and asked
where she got it. "I made it" she said and explained how. The
thought of sharing this effective and stylish flymask was
immediate.
After many
months of sewing, alterations and walking back and forth from the
barn to try them on the horses, we ended up with our final mask. We
started selling our masks at local horse shows and got a very
positive response, soon after we started selling to local
stores.
Our masks are different
because the patented design has no Velcro, only elastic under the
jaw and at the poll area. The eye darts form a large pocket to help
decrease rubbing of the eyes.
You simply place your
horses nose into the mask and pull the top up and over the ears,
that's it! Our masks are crafted with the finest mesh, soft fur and
elastic. We wanted them to look great too so, they are available in
fun color combinations and animal prints as well as the more
traditional colors.
We make our masks right
